JANET PROSCIA JOINS CRONHEIM MORTGAGE
AS MANAGING DIRECTOR
Janet
Proscia, a 30 year veteran of the Mortgage Banking Industry, has joined
Chatham, NJ based, Cronheim Mortgage as Managing Director. Widely known as
one of the finest CRE executives in the region, Proscia was the first
employee at James R. Poole & Co. in 1979. She was instrumental in helping
that company grow into one of New Jersey's premiere financiers of commercial
real estate. She later became Partner and was the COO when that company was
sold to NorthMarq Capital. By then the Poole & Co. had $1.1 billion in
serviced loans for institutional investors, including TIAA, Lincoln
National, Genworth, PPM and National Life of Vermont.
Proscia has completed over $2.2 billion in financing transactions since she
arrived at Northmarq in 2004; she was quickly promoted to Senior Vice
President. Prior to his passing in 2009, she worked closely with Marty
Klebanoff, a long time force in the CRE finance industry. Proscia
understands all aspects of running a commercial mortgage banking operation
and will be instrumental in helping Cronheim manage and grow its platform
which currently consists of $1.8 billion in serviced loans. According to
Andrew Stewart, CEO of Cronheim, "I am sure that the synergies created by
Janet's vast knowledge of investors and developers will create numerous
opportunities for us to expand our platform. She is the type of person who
fits in with our culture; I expect that she will be an integral part of our
team for the rest of her career." Cronheim, founded in 1897, is among
America's largest, oldest and strongest independent financiers of commercial
real estate.
Mrs. Proscia was a member of the Board of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers
Association of New Jersey, served as Chairperson and Vice Chair of the
Income Property Investment Committee, Chair and Vice Chair of Environmental
Issues Committee, Chair and Vice Chair of Public Relations Committee and is
Co-Chair of the Community Action Committee of NAIOPNJ.
