Internship Program

Job Description

Interns work closely with the analysts and other executives in evaluating commercial property and analyzing the impact and feasibility of different financing structures. Job responsibilities include: investment analysis, market research, lease/contract analysis, portfolio management, econometric modeling and technical support.

At the end of the program, each intern will be required to give a written and verbal presentation on a specific aspect of the real estate financing process. For the purposes of the presentation, the intern will act as the mortgage banker, presenting a proposed financing transaction to a borrower or lender. The presentation will be evaluated for quality of content and presentation skills.

Requirements
Solid written and verbal communication skills, a strong GPA and proven analytical ability are a must. The applicant must be able to think logically and independently and must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. The applicant must work thoroughly, with great attention to detail. As most successful executives in this field possess a broad skill set, well rounded applicants are desired. A background in finance is not required, but an interest in the real estate field is a plus.
